Flat Feet

One__and one —__is three_edited.jpg

Flat feet, also known as fallen arches, occurs when the inner arch of the foot is flattened. This condition can be genetic or develop over time due to factors such as injury, aging, or improper foot mechanics.

When the arch is flattened, the entire bottom of the foot makes contact with the ground leading to increased pressure on ankles, knees, and hips. The foot's natural ability to absorb shock is compromised, which can contribute to pain and discomfort throughout the lower body and even the lower back.

If you suspect you have flat feet, it's important to consult with a healthcare professional who can diagnose the condition and recommend appropriate treatment options. By addressing flat feet early on, you can help prevent further complications and improve your overall foot health.

Orthotics, specialized shoe inserts, can often provide support and alleviate symptoms.
